Remember… we are launching an all new Flying Solo on Monday January 3rd! We will no longer host it at this address. Instead you will find it by going to my main website and clicking on the “Flying Solo” button on the home page or by going to www.denisehildrethjones.com/flyingsolo
Our goal is to make this a more interactive-community. The journey of singleness is such an amazing ride and we have so much to learn from each other in our experiences. So, that is what we are hoping to create for you.
Our final story for the end of this year…there were three other people at the birth of Jesus. They were the wisest of the wise. In the world’s perspective they were the ones one went to for answers. They were the ones who did the teaching. But in this moment of history, they were wise enough not to miss something bigger than they were. And in that moment they didn’t just participate in it, they brought their best gift.
I know some really smart people. But the smartest of them are the ones who are well aware that there is always more to learn and you can learn from anyone. One of the most valuable gifts you can ever have is a “teachable” spirit. My friend and mentor Dr. Albert Lemmons who is over seventy still sits across his desk from me wanting to hear my thoughts as if there is more he can learn. And because of that God is perpetually entrusting Him with new things.
Is your spirit opened to learning? Opened to discovery? And are you willing to always offer your best gifts? I can only imagine if we entered the New Year with these two things always in the forefront of our heart and mind that God could show us, and make us a part of some extraordinary things.
Normally I don't leave comments but I felt I needed to tell you I love the blog.
